Classes, Classes and Classes

Hello Stitchers!  

I wanted to reach out an update you regarding our Fall class schedule.  We've got lots of fabulous things coming up from August thru October and I hope you will come join us.  

AUGUST:

"Mini Sessions with Linda": August 3, 17, 31. 10am - 12pm or 1pm - 3pm

                                            September 14, 28. 10am - 12pm or 1pm - 3pm

                                            October 12, 26.  10am - 12pm, 1pm - 3pm

If you are struggling with a whole canvas or just a spot or two Linda will give you fabulous suggestions for threads and stitches to propel you forward or jumpstart your stitching passion. 

Cost: $30 per session 

SEPTEMBER: 

Heidi from Chaparral Dallas and the creative mind behind NDLPT Designs is coming for a visit and spending the weekend with us! (Pssst.... and for those of you who follow her on Instagram @chaparral_needlework and watch "Saturday at the Shop" guess who gets to co-host!!!!!!)

Friday, September 1, 5pm-7pm: Pop-up shop and "Meet and Greet" with Heidi herself.  She bringing in the full line of designs for you to shop and they will be discounted 20% for the weekend while she is here.  Join us for drinks and light bites and meet the designer up close and personal. 

"Mrs. Claus' Fabulous Closet - Coco Chanel Tag": Saturday, September 2, 10:30am - 1:30pm"

Join Heidi in starting your very own collection of designer tags from Mrs. Claus.  This class will be focusing on the Coco tag using specialty threads and embellishment stitches along with some fabulous beaded buttons.  You may also choose a different designer tag, just let us know when you sign up if you would prefer the equally stunning Gucci, Fendi or any of the designs freatured below.

Cost: $125 includes canvas, stitch guide, stretcher bars, threads and instruction.  

Maximum 10 students

A second session will be availble from 2pm - 5pm for overflow.

"Backgrounds and Embellishments" with Kris:

Saturday, Septmeber 23, 10:30am - 2pm and October 21, 10:30am - 2pm

Are you ready to move past Basketweave and Continental on you needlepoint canvases.  Kris will be teaching you to add some well places embellishment stitches to bring the basics to life.  In this two-session class you will learn 16 background stitches including T-stitch, Nobuko, Criss Cross Hungarian and more:

And 10 embellishment stitches including beading and turkey work  to add just a little extra to your canvas.

Each student will pick two colorways from the three provided  

Cost: $125 includes two canvases, two thread kits, stretcher bars, stitch diagrams and instruction. (Lunch not included.)

OCTOBER:

Want to try something new?  We are very lucky to have the oppurtunity to host the fabulous,nationally recognized  Stephanie Chase from the Joy of Needlepoint.  She will be offering three classes while she is visiting the weekend of October 5-7.  

Thursday, October 5, 4pm-6pm: "Canvas Embellishment".  Bring a canvas with you and meet Stephanie.  She will be happy to help you advance your skill set and teach you something new.  

Cost:$30 includes semi-private instruction 

Friday, October 6, 10am - 4pm: "Christmas Tree Dangle" from Evergreen Needlepoint

Each piece of the dangle will be stitched using different stitches but thread type and color will make it all come together.  

Cost: $350 includes 3-part canvas, threads and stretcher bars, stitch guide, instruction and lunch.

Saturday, October 7, 9am - 1pm: "Choose" Canvas series from Lauren Bloch

There are currently 5 "Choose" designs available from Lauren Bloch and we are focusing on "Choose Joy" for this class. The stitch guide you will receive can be reused for any of the series with some color changes.  Follow the link below to see the grouping on Lauren's website.

Interested in both Friday and Saturday?  Sign up by August 29th and pay only $700.  

I hope we have piqued your interest and you are inspired to learn something new whether you have only ever done the "basic" needlepoint stitch or consider yourself advanced. Needlepoint is what you make of it and taking any of these classes will definitely help you step up your game!
