I hope Spring is finding you all with a bit of stitching time and lots of new inspiration for your current projects. It's been a busy last month in Naperville for myself and all my needlepoint experts. I have been to two needlepoint markets-one in Atlanta with Patty and one virtually and also managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Lincoln, NE to visit Caitlin for one last Mom-Daughter weekend. I did get a bit of stitching done while I was in Lincoln and am really looking forward to finishing my piece.
Patty Paints designed it as a self-finishing button and my plan is to attach it to a straw bag using a wide ribbon. Which bag is yet to be decided, but we just got in a shipment of new straw bags, so I've got some options, and a girl always needs those, right?
We are receiving market orders daily right now. Patty and I had the best time shopping for new designs. Some of our current favorites:
We are happy to pull threads or write up a stitch guide if you would like. Just leave us a message in the notes section of your order.
This month in addition to our Treenway Threads trunk show, we are hosting "Once in a Blue Moon" by Sandra Gilmore. Her designs cover a wide variety of themes and if you want to just basketweave your piece they are perfectly stitch painted.
I love our latest Friday postings of "Fabulous Friday Finishing"! Make sure to check out either Instagram or Facebook - @stitchersgardenil. I have a fabulous finishing myself that I am so happy to share with all of you:
I used Glisten and a whole lot of basketweave for this Kate Dickerson Christmas cuff and I absolutely love the final product. The inside lining is red leather and although I can wait on Winter, I can hardly wait to wear it!
I hope you have a fabulous month of inspired stitching and until next time I will leave you with the following words of wisdom from The Needlework Retailer.
