Lots of Stuff!!!!

I hope everyone has had a great month of April with lots of time for stitching.  We've got a bunch of things going on and I hope we will see you either for an upcoming class or just to stop in and stitch for an hour or two.  We love to see the progress everyone makes on their projects and we celebrate when it is finished just as much as you.  That means a new project whether you pick from the shop or from your stash.  (My favorite part is picking out something new!)

May Trunk Shows:

Pepperberry arriving May 3rd!

SILLY LITTLE BIRDS CLUB:
If you are a bird fan this is the club for you.  Designed by Scott Partridge for VNG with stitch guides written by Suzie Vallerie herself, these canvases are beyond cute!  We still have a few left to get you started and each additional bird will be available every other month.  The canvas, crystals and Stitchguide retail for $70.  Thread kits are optional and for the "Two Cardinals it retails for $56.00






CLASSES:

Libby Sturdy Tree #4:

Well know for her line drawn canvases, Libby will be teaching her "Tree #4". Lots of metallic and specialty stitches make this a fabulous Christmas piece and the size is only 3" x 4.25" so it can be finished up quick.

Cost:  Class and Canvas $100, Kit Fee (includes threads, stretcher bars, needles) $60




Sandy Arthur Canvas Embellishment:
Sandy's "Canvas Embellishment" class is filling up quickly.  We have 3 spaces left for Saturday and Sunday, August 4-5.  If you are unfamiliar with Sandy's work she is a wonderfully talented teacher who does a lot of "out-of-the-box" thinking and then translates those ideas into fabulous stitched pieces.  Each student supplies the canvas (one of your own or a piece purchased from Stitchers Garden).  Sandy will design six stitched areas to enhance the beauty of your chosen piece.  If you choose, she will also write a complete stitch guide for the cost of $8.50 per page. 

Date: August 4, 2018 10-5, August 5, 2018 11-4
Cost $300(due at registration)

Canvas must be made available to Stitchers Garden for photos (which will be sent to Sandy).

Basketweave and Beyond:

Our "Basketweave and Beyond" class is perfect for any beginning Stitcher, if you need a refresher, or want to learn what that "specialty stitch" business is all about.  This piece includes an introduction to thread and how to determine what works best on which size mesh, 7 specialty stitches plus basketweave, and two additional stitches using beads to embellish your canvas.  Dates coming!  Call the shop (630-946-6216) if you are interested.
